27 May 2021: Technical briefing on the second programming round in French

Le Fonds de l’Initiative Elsie pour les femmes en uniforme dans les opérations de paix organise une séance d’information technique à distance portant sur son deuxième cycle de programmation des appels à manifestation d’intérêt. Les objectifs de cette séance d’information sont d’expliquer comment faire une demande de financements au Fonds, de partager les bonnes pratiques et les enseignements tirés de projets éprouvés et de sensibiliser sur le rôle significatif de la diversité des genres dans les opérations de paix, ainsi que sur les obstacles et solutions au déploiement des femmes. Au cours de cette séance, nous présenterons le Secrétariat du Fonds, les bénéficiaires du premier cycle de programmation et recevrons le témoignage d’une femme en uniforme chargée du maintien de la paix. La séance est co-organisée par le Canada, l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) et le Francopol.

18 May 2021: Technical briefing on the second programming round in English

The Elsie Initiative Fund for Uniformed Women in Peace Operations (EIF) is organising an interactive technical briefing on the second programming round for the call for letters of interest to the Fund. The briefing will include a presentation of the Fund and how to apply. Successful recipients from the Fund will also present their projects including a discussion on effective practices and lessons learned in developing a successful project proposal. A question and answer session will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in the discussion.

28 April 2021: High-level launch event of the second programming round

The Elsie Initiative Fund for Uniformed Women in Peace Operations (EIF) is launching its second programming round on 28 April 2021, with a high-level virtual event. Member States that have received funding in the first programming round, and new contributors to the EIF, will discuss the important and innovative work of the EIF.  The event will also review progress in the deployment of uniformed women in peace operations and showcase Member States’ progress and good practices.
